Meeting Personnel

The second general meeting of the Libertarian Party of New York was held on July 16, 1972 at the Williams Club in New York City.

Overview

From FLP News, August 1972:

Various changes in leadership took place at the last general meeting of the FLP on Sunday, July 16.

At a meeting of the Executive Committee of the FLP, Ed Clark resigned his position as State Chairperson, due to transfer by his company on September 1st. Vice Chairperson, Jerry Klasman, was elected by the committee to fill Mr. Clark's unexpired term of office. Howard Rich was then elected to fill the seat of the Vice Chairperson vacated by Jerry Klasman.

Michael P. Higgins was elected by the membership to the post of Secretary. This a mammoth job which Mike has cheerfully accepted.

Andrea Millen, who has already performed the tasks of three people for the FLP, was elected Committeeperson-at-large.

Also elected Committeeperson-at-large, Samuel E. Konklin III, publisher of New Libertarian Notes, a radical anarchist publication.
