The Nassau County Libertarian Party is a local affiliate of the Libertarian Party of New York.

History

The Nassau County Libertarian Party was first established as the Nassau Libertarian Club on July 21, 1973 and chartered by the State Committee on August 28, 1973. Steve Schneider was involved as the Chair, Treasurer, State Rep, and Newsletter Editor during the mid-1970s. The activity of the affiliate during the 1980s has not been found, but a convention in June 1992 noted the election of officers. On June 30, 2019, they were chartered as an Interim County Committee during the transition of the party.
