Stephen L. "Steve" Dasbach was Chair of the Libertarian National Committee from 1993 to 1998 and National Executive Director from 1998 to 2002. He was also the Indiana state chair from 1984-1985 and again from 1998 to 1999.

In 1986 he was the LP candidate for Indiana's 4th District U.S. Representative. Dasbach received 602 votes for 0.4% of the vote[1].
