Stevan Porter is a member of the Libertarian Party of Virginia and former chair of the Eleventh Congressional District on the Libertarian Party of Virginia SCC as well as a former secretary of the Libertarian Party of Northern Virginia.

He has been a candidate for the US House of Representatives in 2018^[1] and a candidate for Town Council in Herndon, VA in 2020^[2] and 2022^[3].
