The Libertarian Party of Douglas County is an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Colorado. It was initially formed in 2001 and lasted for about year after which it dissolved until 2016 being restarted by Wayne Harlos and Caryn Ann Harlos of Castle Rock, Colorado. For about one year prior to re-affiliation it existed as a "Development Group" (a now defunct in-between category in the Libertarian Party of Colorado. Douglas County is one of the few "red" counties in Colorado.
