The Libertarian Party of Douglas County is an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Colorado. It was initially formed in 2001 and lasted for about a year after until it dissolved. In 2016, the affiliate was restarted by Wayne Harlos and Caryn Ann Harlos of Castle Rock, Colorado. For about one year prior to re-affiliation, it existed as a "Development Group" (a now defunct in-between category in the Libertarian Party of Colorado). Douglas County is one of the few "red" counties in Colorado. The Libertarian Party of Douglas County holds its meetings at 6:30pm MST during the first Thursday of every month at the Wild Blue Yonder[1] in Castle Rock, Colorado.
