William Cody Anderson is a Libertarian Party activist. He is the current Treasurer of the Libertarian Party of New York, having been elected in 2022. He previously served as Chair from 2020 to 2022, succeeding Tony D'Orazio. He is also the Secretary of the Capital District Libertarian Party, serving since 2019, although the group faded.

Biography

Anderson was first involved in the Libertarian Party in 2019. He ran for Chair at the 2019 State Convention, which at the time was for the old corporation, the Free Libertarian Party, Inc. He lost in the first round and Mark Glogowski was ultimately elected. In 2019, Anderson also ran for Town Supervisor of Chatham, New York, but suspended his campaign during the race. He led the organizing of the Columbia County Libertarian Party and was elected its first Chair on December 4, 2019.

In August 2020, Anderson announced his candidacy for Chair of the Libertarian Party of New York and was elected at the 2020 convention, defeating incumbent Tony D'Orazio. He declined to serve another term and instead was elected Treasurer of the LPNY in 2022.

In 2019, he announced his candidacy for Town Supervisor of Chatham, New York. He suspended his campaign on June 27, 2019. He was the Treasurer of the Western New York Libertarian Coalition, a race for the State Committee in New York's 8th Judicial District.
