Questionable LP Candidates

I am unsure if Joel Goodman (2nd US House district, 2008) belongs here. The only evidence I have found that he was involved with the LP comes from the FEC, where he is listed as having 1 Libertarian Party write in vote in the primary election for that office. He is the only LP primary candidate listed for Tennessee for that year. https://transition.fec.gov/pubrec/fe2008/2008congresults.xls But, the FEC does sometimes make mistakes with party labels. Goodman is not listed in the LP News election results for 2008, although that doesn't mean much because that list fails to include a lot of candidates. The Internet Archive of the LPTN web site has a large gap with no archived results between May, 2008 and July, 2011, so that's no help. It is more concerning that he isn't listed in the Richard Winger archive, but even that has some errors and omissions (although fewer than other sources.) The content on Goodman's web site is plausibly, although not perfectly, libertarian.

Greg Samples is another one. It seems he was endorsed by the LP for US Senate in 1996, and US House District 2 in 1998, 2010, and 2012. But he also ran for US House District 2 in 1994 and I haven't found an LP endorsement for that year.

I removed the 1994 election results for Samples. Goodman is still there, for now. AJPEG (talk) 01:02, 4 April 2018 (CDT)
