Getting some sourced info on him

I'm trying to find a resume to beef up the article a bit. Will ask on his facebook page. LP-1979 (talk) 17:38, 17 January 2018 (CST)

71 Republic endorsement?

That doesn't look like an endorsement by 71 Republic to me. It isn't even a clear endorsement by the author, Mason Mohon. Mohon is obviously supportive of Smith, but he stops just short of a clear endorsement. And the article does not have any of the usual language of an editorial board endorsement. They are usually pretty clear. "the Chicago Tribune today endorses Libertarian Gary Johnson for president of the United States." "We recommend: Alison Foxall." "Libertarian Mark Miller gets our nod over Democrat Grady Yarbrough, Republican Wayne Christian and Green Party candidate Martina Salinas for a seat on the Texas Railroad Commission." "Liberty Hangout is proud to endorse @SmithChair of the @LPMisesCaucus for Chairman of the Libertarian Party, to unseat @nsarwark at the 2018 Libertarian National Convention"

That is the typical language of an editorial board endorsement. 71 Republic has none of that. The article supports Smith, but not to the point of explicitly excluding all other candidates (Sarwark is excluded, but the door is still open for others.) And at the bottom of the page, it says "Disclaimer: The views and opinions of this article do not reflect that of 71 Republic LLC." AJPEG (talk) 17:00, 12 February 2018 (CST)

That is a good point, perhaps if the title said endorsements and support? CarynAnnHarlos (talk) 13:18, 13 February 2018 (CST)
I asked Mason. He said it was intended to be a personal endorsement. AJPEG (talk) 16:18, 15 February 2018 (CST)
