Lane County is a county in the western part of Oregon, including the cities of Eugene and Springfield at the southern end of the Willamette Valley but also stretching west to the Pacific coast and east to the summit of the Cascade Range. The level of Libertarian Party activity has varied over the years, with a formal Libertarian Party of Lane County organization sometimes recognized by the Libertarian Party of Oregon and sometimes not.
Activities over the years have included supporting candidates for public office and outreach projects at the Lane County Fair and other public events.

Prominent Libertarian Activists from Lane County
The most famous Libertarian Party activist from Lane County was Tonie Nathan, the LP's 1972 Vice Presidential candidate. She lived in Eugene for many decades, promoting LP projects at the county, state, and national level, until her death in 2014.
Joe Dehn, who later went on to become LP National Secretary and then active in the Libertarian Party of California in various capacities, lived in Eugene in the late 1980s.
