Aubrey Dunn Jr. is a rancher from New Mexico who served as Public Lands Commissioner of New Mexico from 2014 to 2019. On January 27 2018, Dunn switched from the Republican Party to the Libertarian Party.[1] Dunn was nominated by the Libertarian Party of New Mexico as its senatoral candidate in 2018, but later left the race and was replaced by former presidential candidate Gary Earl Johnson.

2018 US Senate Campaign
On January 29 2018, Dunn announced his candidacy for the US Senate, seeking the Libertarian Party nomination.[4] Dunn secured the nomination on June 5, 2018.[5]
On July 29 2018, Dunn withdrew from the race and encouraged Gary Johnson to enter the race. [6]
