The Adequate Defense Caucus was a caucus that existed within the Libertarian Party from at least 1980[1] to 1985.[2] Its purpose was to advocate within the Libertarian Party for a strong national defense, a missile defense shield, and a less anti-interventionist, anti-Soviet foreign policy. Some members included John Hospers, Bob Poole, Mike Dunn, Clifford Thies, George Abrahams, Dick Eagleson, and Eric Dondero. It sought to be a counter-balance to the Radical Caucus within the Libertarian Party.[3]
