Paul Grindle serves as the Political Director of the Libertarian Party of New York. He is also the Vice Chair of the Brooklyn Libertarian Party and serves as a member of the State Committee representing Judicial District 2, coterminous with Brooklyn. Previously he served as a Member-At-Large of the Executive Committee of the Libertarian Party of New York and he is a member of several state party committees. He provided management and assistance to Libertarian campaigns. He is a member of the Libertarian Socialist Caucuses of the Libertarian Party and Democratic Socialists of America, as well as the latter caucus' parent organization, the Horizon Federation. He is also associated with the Classical Liberal Caucus and was a New York State Co-Coordinator of the Libertarian Pragmatist Caucus.

He is also an At-Large State Committee Member of the Libertarian Party of New York's former corporation side and original body, the Free Libertarian Party, Inc., which currently exists as the defunct Libertarian Advocates of New York, and was the 1st Vice-Chair of the Suffolk County Libertarian Party where he served as the 2019 Campaign Coordinator. The Suffolk party saw a historic number of candidates that year and saw several cross endorsed candidates win their elections. He was a delegate seated with the New York party's delegation at the 2018, 2020, and 2022 Libertarian National Conventions.
