LibertarianWiki Content
If you can use the export function and send me the XML I can import them with full revision histories, to help ensure that the responsible contributors get recognized. While not as important as it would be from a non-public-domain source, it's good to do when practical. 8)
Just try to avoid letting the XML files get too big -- when that happens they need to be manually subdivided to keep the import operation from timing out. Ask me how I know...

Oh! please remember to uncheck the obnoxious 'current revision only' checkbox, which defeats the entire purpose of exporting... ...Or should we be exporting the entire wiki and setting up a mirror? Request copies of the database from Paul? I've been mostly out of the loop with LibertarianWiki for more than a year. Not all content can be reasonably ported here, as this wiki has a slightly narrower focus (it's officially offered by the LP -- which means that certain LibertarianWiki-appropriate viewpoints are as appropriate here as pro-Karl Rove content would be in either location).

- Hi - I'm not much on the tech side of things so I'm not sure how to use the export function. My plan was to salvage the articles from LibertarianWiki which are specific to libertarian history, and mainly stick with those that I wrote or contributed most of the content to, and which aren't already covered here.
I'll enable my email and contact you separately about the other question you have.Buck 00:35, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- jamesg dimensionality com -- it's been all over the Internet for 13 years, so I'll go ahead and put it here. -- Strangelv 01:27, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Libertopedia
Is it safe to ask for a summary of just what the heck has been happening with LibertarianWiki/Libertopedia? I'm not healtnhy enough to go through the multiple deluges of stuff I'm finding. 8\ -- Strangelv 23:58, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- Briefly, PStudier was too busy to continue running the site, Tisane offered to move it to libertapedia.org, we all (there were maybe 5 active contributors to LibertarianWiki) agreed. All the LibertarianWiki content was mirrored to the new site around the end of March. Within a week Tisane tried unilaterally changing the site to an anarcho-capitalist-only wiki, insisted on defending the morality of threatening elected officials and political assassination, then went on a string of deletionism, deleting many articles outright and moving others, and unilaterally changing policy back and forth. This convinced me the new wiki is too unstable to bother with contributing to any further. Tisane's creating vindictive feature articles on anyone who leaves the site has only confirmed my assessment. I figured it would be better to salvage the good content from LibertarianWiki elsewhere, and wise to have no further dealings or contact with Tisane. Buck 00:46, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
