Talk:Arvin Vohra
Those were stated in the LNC discussions, these are not personal editorializing opinions. Please do not undo edits without trying to resolve here. I was present for those discussion. Larry Sharpe confirms his position - anyone can ask him. An LNC member who was present IS a source.CarynAnnHarlos (talk) 23:26, 23 July 2021 (CDT)
The detailed description of these two votes is much more than I would expect to see in a general article about a person. This is a person who was national Vice Chair for two terms, and all that the article tells us about what he did during that time is that some LNC members tried to removed him twice and failed! And in trying to explain those votes it cites the opinions of LNC members on a variety of topics, in a way that has already led to disputes about how much "opinion" should be included. But opinion was the essence of the dispute, and expanding the account to explain the reasons more completely, or to include additional nuances of the criticism, or the opinions of additional LNC members, would make these paragraphs even longer. The only way somebody is going to fully understand these events is by going back to the source documents -- things like the minutes of LNC meetings and the posts by Vohra that triggered the criticism. And even with respect to LNC action on these matters, this account is incomplete! A quick review of the minutes of the February 2018 meeting shows that after the vote to suspend failed another vote, to censure him, passed. Leaving that out I think presents a misleading impression that the LNC did nothing. IF this whole matter is important enough to be documented in this way (beyond what is already available in minutes and so on), it should be done in a more balanced and complete way -- which will take more space than is appropriate here. My suggestion, then, is that this whole thing be moved to a separate article where the matter can be better explained, and with detailed references/citations included. That will also allow much more flexibility to structure the account, with separate paragraphs or subsections, to be able to include multiple, possibly conflicting, viewpoints of the various people involved.
