 Lee Wrights was born on June 8, {{Event|year=1958|event=Birth|notes=former Vice-Chair of the LNC}} in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After graduating from high school, Wrights joined the U.S. Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1981. He also earned a degree from Willmar College where his major was journalism and history.
