Discussed Data Mining with LNC members?

Some delegates, especially former members, might find this invasive. Was Kevin Gulbranson asked if he could be used as an example for all to see?

I don't know if there is a clear policy on LNC data mining approved by LNC but it needs to be transparent on this page, as does current policy for members getting delegates lists and what they can do with them.

I remember personally getting delegates lists in the past as a local party officer and perhaps the couple times I ran for secretary as a protest candidate. But I may have also done so just as myself, probably for pro-choice libertarians and libertarians for peace. I can't remember what the policy was or is. So also making that policy clear in this posting would help.

Obviously candidates for party office or national office might want to know if the data mining info is available for their use. Like: "I came to 8 conventions but you've only come to two." or "Wow, came to a lot of conventions. Gotta recruit her for my campaign" or whatever. It is public information available upon request. Anyone can request the lists and there is no restriction on their use. Per the Party Bylaws, the national office is only required to maintain the last two, but party members have kept them longer:

:Delegate List:

Any Party member shall be provided, upon request and payment of copying and mailing costs, a list of the names and addresses of all delegates selected to attend and those who actually attended the most recent two Conventions, with those who attended clearly identified, and all delegates / alternates selected to the upcoming convention, if available.

When the member receives them there is absolutely no restriction on their use. Kevin is a friend of mine. He loves being used as an example as long as it is in positive light. He is a fantastic member of the LPCO. However, all of LPedia articles are published using public information under Creative Commons and can be used in that manner. If any person believes there is non-public information disclosed (or information that was in the public sphere by nefarious or harassing means) can contact us for removal. (i.e. if someone was doxxed, that information will not be used here to further harassment of any individual). If you believe Kevin has an issue (I think he would have told me last night while enjoying some fantastic local Colorado wine), you can let him know to contact me.
