J. Steve Dodds
John Steven "Steve" Dodds (November 27, 1947 - February 19, 2023), a lifetime member of the Libertarian Party, was born in Portland, Oregon, and was adopted and raised by his parents, John and Jean Dodds. He graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1965 and went on to attend Oregon State University, becoming an alumnus of the institution.
Love for Libertarianism
Throughout his life, Dodds held a deep passion for libertarianism. He was an active member of the Libertarian Party and remained committed to its principles and values. In 1996, he ran as a candidate for the Oregon District 29 Representative position.
Career and Accomplishments
After completing his education, Dodds founded "Dodds Engineering and Computer Service" in McMinnville, Oregon, in 1976. He successfully owned and operated the business for many years, leaving a mark in the local community.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
Apart from his professional pursuits, Dodds had a diverse range of interests and hobbies. He was an avid drag racer and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Additionally, Dodds was an enthusiastic league championship bowler and actively participated in weekly bowling events with his team.
Family and Legacy
Dodds is survived by his two children, David and Elisabeth Dodds. He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul, and his parents, John and Jean Dodds.
