Green Party of New York State v. New York State Board of Elections (2004) was a landmark court case in New York State, which required the New York State Board of Elections to maintain the records of enrollments of independent bodies that are not recognized as official political parties. This allowed the Libertarian Party of New York to keep track of their member who were enrolled at the Board of Elections. On April 22, 2005, an order was issued to began keeping track of those enrollments.
