Dear Libertarian:
The Texas Libertarian Party will hold its organizational meeting on Sunday, April 9, 10:00 a.m. at 7412 Southway in Houston. (Directions are provided below.) A meeting will not be held in Dallas as originally considered, but transportation pools will be arranged.
For those in the Dallas region, Mr. Harry Robinson is in charge of transportation arrangements. Mr. Robinson is in charge of transportation arrangements. Mr. Robinson does not have a telephone but you may contact him at Box 6174, U.T.A. Station, Arlington. Also, I will act as a clearing house for car pools under the following system. If you are a driver and will carry passengers call me (644-6905) on Wednesday, April 5, between 9:30 p.m. and midnight (or before, if you can get me). You can call after 11:00 p.m. from anywhere for one minute for twenty-five cents. Tell me where and when people can meet you for the trip, how many you can carry, requirements for riders (e.g. splitting gas, etc.) and how you can be contacted meanwhile. If you are a rider call me on Thursday, April 6, between 9:30 p.m. and midnight. (Don't forget, it's only twenty-five cents for one minute after 11:00 p.m.) Tell me what you need and I'll tell you what's available.
The purpose of this meeting is to officially form the party, elect officers, determine objectives, plan strategy -- in short, to see what we've got and what we can do. If you want a part in this undertaking, it would be most desirable for you to attend this meeting.
If you have any questions or problems, call me or Mike Holmes (529-5194). Crash space will be available at $1.00 per person. If you arrive via some form of public transportation and need a ride to the meeting, call and most likely we can help you. The length of the meeting is indeterminate but a reasonable estimate is three hours.
