The Libertarian Party candidate for President of the United States, Michael Badnarik, will be visiting Ithaca on the campaign trail, Tuesday, October 5th and Wednesday the 6th, 2004. Mr. Badnarik will appear in the third party Presidential debate sponsored by the Cornell Mock Election 2004 Steering Committee on October 6th at 8:00pm at Cornell University.
The Libertarian Party is America's third largest political party and is polling at 3% nationally in a recent Rasmussen poll. More than 600 Libertarians now serve in public office at the local, state and federal level and the party expects to run more than 1,000 candidates for office nationwide in the November election.
The Libertarian Party is committed to America's heritage of freedom; - individual liberty and personal responsibility - a free-market economy of abundance and prosperity - a foreign policy of non-intervention, peace, and free-trade

Pre-Debate Welcome - Wednesday, October 6th, 2004 Time and location TBA. The Cornell community with a special welcome reception for the Presidential candidates
Third Party Presidential Debate - Wednesday, October 6th, 2004 8:00pm Schwartz Auditorium, in the Rockefeller Building at Cornell University, Ithaca. Debating will be Libertarian Party candidate Michael Badnarik. Green Party candidate David Cobb, Socialist Party candidate Walt Brown and Constitution Party candidate Michael Peroutka. Limited tickets will be made available to students first, and then to the general public. C-Span may record the event for later broadcast.
After the Debate Drinks at Benchwarmers - on the Ithaca Commons, downtown. Join with other Badnarik supporters after the debate for lively time.
WWLZ radio 820AM Elmira, Interview - Michael Badnarik is the guest in a live phone-in interview with "Seth in the Morning" on Wednesday, October 6th, 7:30 - 8:00am.
WHCU radio 870AM Ithaca, Interview - Michael Badnarik is the guest in a live interview with Casey Stevens on Wednesday, October 6th, 9:00 - 10:00am.
"Right Angle" with Mark Finkelstein Interview - Michael Badnarik is the guest in an interview to be shown Thursday 10/7, 7:30pm. The interview will be repeated Friday 10/8, 5:00pm and Tuesday 10/12, 4:00pm . Right Angle airs on Time Warner cable channel 13 on Thursdays at 7:30pm and is hosted by Mark Finkelstein, the Chair of the Tompkins County Republican Party
