Document:National Email Monday Message 27 September 2010 Libertarians in the media and more
September 27, 2010
Dear Friend of Liberty,
As we move toward Election Day, Libertarian candidates and the Libertarian Party are seeing more attention from the media.
David Nolan, LP co-founder and Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate in Arizona, was in a televised debate with John McCain and other candidates yesterday. Mr. Nolan's comments have already been noted in a number of outlets, including the Wall Street Journal.
Libertarian National Committee (LNC) member Stewart Flood commented: "David is not only holding his own but making his points accurately and effectively. The Capone reference regarding prohibition was perfect! This should move David up in the polls. McCain looks flustered and is blinking a mile a minute."
More Libertarian candidates will be participating in televised debates in the upcoming weeks.
You may have also seen the two press releases we sent late last week. One of them was about how the Democratic Party abuses gay and lesbian voters, and the other was about how the Republican Party should have issued an "Apology to America." These releases were covered by several major media outlets.
Libertarian congressional candidate Travis Irvine continues to amuse and educate with his campaign videos. Here's his latest one.
On a separate note, I want to mention the remaining 2010 schedule for the Students for Liberty regional conferences being held on campuses around the country. (All dates are Saturdays.)

Sincerely,
