THE SPRINGS IN MAY

May 2 & 3 will be the week-end to visit Colo. Springs. This area offers a terrific setting for the State Convention which will present exciting speakers at low cost! We'll be meeting at the DRURY INN. The convention will present:

FRIDAY, 7:00PM - Featured speaker, MARSHALL FRITZ, an advocate of self-government. His humorous, up beat presentations provide a comfortable forum for exploring the principles of freedom. This is the perfect time to introduce family & friends to Libertarianism ... so bring 'em along.

SATURDAY, 9:00AM - Keynote speaker, Steve Givot will be featured. Steve, a commodities broker from Chicago, ran a professional campaign and received 4% of the vote in a tight Illinois race between Simon & Percy. Concurrent SATURDAY events: (1) Constitutional By-Laws and Platform committees will present updates for the first time in three years, (2) Panels headed by Penn Pfiffner, Mary Margaret and Marshal Fritz speaking on Black Belt Libertarianism.

A banquet will close the convention Saturday night at 8:00. Jim Lewis, VP candidate on the Bergland ticket, will be speaking. Costs are way down. The business sessions on Saturday are free to members.

$29.00 - Before convention

$35.00 - At the door

Saturday night banquet is extra: $20.00 before noon on 5/3/86, $25 .00 after noon on 5/3/86

Make checks payable to the Colorado Libertarian Party and mail to the CLP office (2186 So. Holly #2078, Denver, 80222) TODAY!!!!!

THE LIBERTY ON HOLD

Unfortunately, we won't see the "Colorado Liberty until funds can be raised and volunteers found to put together our paper. A single issue of the "Liberty" costs us approx . $600., and we need your help in order to publish a summer issue. The national paper has taken a new editorial direction with Karl Hess; who is willing to give this same momentum to the "Colorado Liberty"?????

PEOPLE'S FAIR AT EAST HIGH SCHOOL

Colorado Libertarians will have an information booth at the People's Fair (Colfax and Detroit) on Sat., May 17th (10:00-6:00) and Sun., May 18th (11:00-5:00). We'll be sharing with the Fair crowd the principles of Libertarianism and staging a penny-vote for the most UNpopular leader in the last year. Thousands of Denverites turn out for the fair. If you've been waiting to volunteer for a ""fun" event, this is the one! Call Doug Anderson (757-8896) to help.
