Bill Gelineau served as Chair of the Libertarian Party of Michigan in 2003-04 and 2016-17. He was a delegate seated with the delegation of the Libertarian Party of Michigan at the 2018 National Convention and 2020 National Convention. He has run for office many times. In 2018 he ran a very active campaign and won the LPM's first state primary election for Governor over John J. Tatar, with 58% of the vote. Bill went on to actively campaign in the general election and set a record for votes earned by the LPM for Governor, receiving 56,606 votes, or 1.33%.
