Aaron Starr was Treasurer of the Libertarian National Committee from 2006 to 2010. Starr is a past Chair of the Libertarian Party of California.
He holds degrees in finance and accounting from California State University at Northridge. He is the Controller of a $1 Billion per year manufacturing company. He is a lifelong resident of Simi Valley, California.
He was a delegate seated with the delegation of the Libertarian Party of California at the 2022 National Convention.

On November 5, 2024, Starr was elected to the City Council (District 3) of Oxnard, CA. He was elected in a 4-way nonpartisan race with 4,835 of 9,119 votes cast (53%); incumbent Oscar Madrigal received 2,612 votes (29%).
