Jacob Hornberger Capmaign

Jacob Hornberger's 2002 US Senate campaign perhaps should not be included. Mr. Hornberger initially sought the Virginia LP nomination, but then dropped his bid for it and ran as an Independent candidate due to some controversy he stirred up at the LNC. Mr. Hornberger ran a strongly small "l" libertarian campaign and his web site explicitly professed his commitment to libertarian principles. The LP VA does not list him as a former candidate on its web site. DC Political Report describes him as an "ex-Libertarian" Independent. Ballot Access News places his vote total in the Libertarian Party column. AJPEG

Local election results

Local election results for 1978 - 2015 can be found here: http://lpva.com/Elections/elections.php AJPEG (talk) 04:59, 16 June 2017 (UTC) The Virginia Elections Database at http://historical.elections.virginia.gov/ has Hornberger listed as an Independent but also has Ron Crickenberger listed as an Independent. Checking Bill Redpath's run for Governor in 2001, he is listed as a Libertarian. The state's records do nothing to help settle the question on Hornberger's 2002 run.
