The April 11-12, 1981 LNC meeting took place in Portland, Oregon, in conjunction with the Oregon Libertarian Party Annual Convention. One outcome of the LNC meeting was the election of members to the Constitution, Bylaws, and Rules Committee. The committee was tasked with developing proposals for various rule changes, which were to be finalized during their meeting in Denver on August 25-26. Following this, the proposals and any amendments from the convention floor would be presented to the delegates at the National Convention 1981 for discussion and voting.
