The Fox Valley Libertarian Party was an affiliate of the Libertarian Party of Illinois. It was an award-winning group of libertarian activists who had been actively defending liberty in Kane & McHenry Counties and the surrounding area since 1995. The McHenry County Libertarians formed in 2017 as an offshoot of the Fox Valley Libertarians.
The chapter suspended operations indefinitely on February 28, 2024 pending the results of the National Convention 2024, and subsequently voted to cease formal chapter operations on July 31, 2024.
