COLORADO LIBERTARIAN CALENDAR

2nd Wednesday of every month - September 11th, Bob and Betty Hurt will be hosting our monthly cocktail party. Come and enjoy an informal evening, 1456 Fillmore, 7:30-10:00PM.

3rd Wednesday of every month - WORKNIGHT!!! Our September Worknight will again be held at Foremost Realty, 3315 W. 72nd Ave., 6:00-8:30. After September, we're looking for a Denver location for Worknights --would like a location with 8-10 lines, 12 phones and conference room if possible. Please call the office if you know of a good spot. (753-6789)

4th Wednesday of every month - Board of Directors' meeting at the Libertarian office, 2186 So. Holly, #2078. We now have at hand an expanded computer source from which to work thanks to Dave Aitken and his mini-computer. We would like to thank ROB GILMORE who has assisted us greatly in the past months with this computer capability.

CLEAR YOUR CALENDARS FOR ...

STATE CONVENTION - 1st or 2nd week-end in May, 1986. This convention will happen in Colorado Springs. It will be less expensive than prior years, and more political issues and methods will be addressed. We'd like to see increased attendance, so please plan now.

NATIONAL CONVENTION - Colorado had only 5 of their 19 authorized delegates in attendance in Phoenix ... fairly embarrassing! Plan now for a trip to Seattle, probably in February or March of 1988.

NATIONAL NEWS

The National Libertarian Party has a new Chair, Jim Turney along with new committee members. Their challenge and a challenge to all of us is to deal with the $70,000 debt now facing the National Party. We can expect nothing positive from National until this obstacle is dealt with. Attendees in Phoenix and all National members are urged to give something extra in your contributions and pledges. Please help in whatever way you can!
