This article lists the locations of archives pertaining to records of the Libertarian Party and its affiliates, candidates, etc.
Official Party Archive
The current official archive of the Libertarian Party is located in Parker, Colorado and under the supervision of the Libertarian Party Historical Preservation Committee. Caryn Ann Harlos is the local caretaker of the records.
Individuals
Individuals known to have extensive archives of Libertarian Party materials:
Joe Buchman
Papers of David Nolan, one of the co-founders of the Libertarian Party.
Andrew Martin Kolstee
Collection of Libertarian Party of New York papers, especially from the Manhattan office used by the party from the 1970s to the 1990s, which has been gradually obtained from Bill McMillen.
Marc Montoni
Collection of LP materials including candidate and party fundraisers, newsletters from many state & local parties and allied groups. Collection includes materials collected by Jim Turney.
Institutional Holdings
The following institutions/locations are known to have archives of Libertarian Party records:
Baylor University
Many materials from LPTexas were donated here, including items with no other known surviving examples.
Cato Institute
Holds the Jim Turney collection, a portion of which have been digitized and posted on YouTube.
American Institute for Economic Research
Contains the Jeffrey Rogers Hummel collection, including back issues of over 200 libertarian publications, primarily from the 1980s and 1990s. Also contains LP convention programs, memorabilia, personal notes and some recordings.
Hoover Institution
Several collections including papers of organizations and activists.

Many collections consisting of materials from LP national office, libertarian publications, and various activists/writers.
Marc Montoni and the Libertarian Party of Virginia sent many of the state party's documents to Alderman.
Wisconsin Historical Society
Contains a diverse set of periodicals from national and state parties across the US. May be searched using the University of Wisconsin website.
