Richard Joseph "Dick" Savadel (born May 28, 1931) was a Libertarian Party activist in the 1970s and 1980s. He was an At-Large Committee Member of the Libertarian Party of New York from 1983 to 1984.
Biography
Savedel was born on May 28, 1931 on Staten Island. He served four years in the United States Air Force and then graduated from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering. He became an engineer for a Long Island minicomputer firm. He lived in Queens and later moved to Suffolk County about 1958. He ran for State Senate in the Conservative Party, but was disenchanged with the party and moved to Nassau County about 1973.
He joined the Libertarian Party and ran for office several times.
