Leonard E. "Len" Morlock (September 29, 1971—August 26, 2024) was a Libertarian Party activist. He was the Chair of the Chautauqua County Libertarian Party from 2022 until his death in 2024. Previously, he served as the county's Vice-Chair from 2017 to 2022. He also served on the LPNY State Committee from 2021 to 2024.

Biography

Leonard "Len" Morlock was born on September 29, 1971 in Buffalo, New York, a son of Robert and Sandra (Austin) Morlock. He graduated from Eden High School in 1989 and went on to attend Alfred State in 1996. He worked as a drafter at Computer Drafter for Dresser-Rand and Siemens Energy in Olean, New York.

He became a Libertarian around the year 2000. He supported Ron Paul during his 2008 and 2012 runs for President. He got involved in the Libertarian Party in 2015, when he attended the second meeting of the Chautauqua County Libertarian Party as the affiliate was working to be organized by Andrew Kolstee. Morlock became actively involved in the affiliate. He was elected Vice-Chair, and served in that role from 2017 to 2022. In 2022, he was elected Chair of the Chautauqua County Libertarian Party, in which he served until his death. He attended PorcFest every year for several years. He was a Delegate to the 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024 Libertarian National Conventions.

Besides political activism, Morlock's hobbies included fishing, vegetable gardening, camping, campfires, kayaking on Chautauqua Lake in the evenings, cheering for the Buffalo Bills, working with computers. He enjoying spending time with his family.

Morlock died unexpectedly on August 26, 2024 in Jamestown, New York at the age of 52.
