George Carl Schwappach (1953-2011) was an American businessman who was active in Libertarian education and politics. He was one of the first members and later Vice-Chairman of The Advocates for Self-Government where he founded the first "Seminar One" libertarian discussion club. He ran for political office in Texas, and supported his wife Deborah Monde in her campaign there.
He attended California State University, Northridge, where he earned a BS in Finance & Economics in 1980. He worked as an accountant for a Big Eight accounting firm, was an early entrant into the business of accounting software, and worked as a Chief Financial Officer in the real estate industry.
