Buchanan served as a senior adviser to Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan. He attempted to win the Republican presidential nomination in 1992 and 1996. He also ran for president on the Reform Party ticket in the 2000 presidential election. today, He is a regular guest on several shows for MSNBC including Morning Joe - a show hosted by former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough.
