1998 NY State Libertarian Candidates

Election Day was Tuesday, November 3, 1998

Governor: Chris Garvey, Roslyn, Long Island patent attorney who lives in Amityville. Opposed to LILCO bailout, taxpayer-funded stadiums and ski resorts, and the war on drugs. He's also a poet.

Lt Governor: Don Silberger, Math Professor at SUNY New Paltz wants his campaign for 50,000 votes to be a referendum against drug prohibition. He's also the faculty advisor for the college libertarian group.

United States Sentate: Bill McMillen Yes, there is a choice if you don't want to vote for Chuck Schumer OR Al D'Amato. Bill McMillen is the alternative you're looking for. Libertarians bring a principled approach to the full breadth of issues facing us at the national and local levels. Bill works as a C.P.A. in Delmar.

Attorney General: Dan Conti Dan has his own law practice in Hemptstead, NY. You want a fair and balanced candidate who will apply sound principles to the administration of justice.

Comptroller: Robert GoodmanRobert has his Ph.D. in biochemistry. But it doesn't take a Ph.D. to see through the current state government's M.O. of funding projects their friends benefit from, and that you are obligated to bail out when the economy turns sour. As comptroller, Robert would stop up the loopholes that greedy state senators abuse.

State Supreme Court Judge: Ira Raab Ira is a member of the Libertarian Party and has our endorsement, although you'll find him running on another party's line. He's running in District 10.

State Senator: Tom Hamilton Tom's also on the ballot line of another party, but he's a fellow Libertarian. District 23, please extend your support to him on Election Day.

State Senator: Andre Soleil Andre is a fusion candidate--you find him on the ballot under more than one party, including the Libertarians! Andre is running in District 18.

State Assembly: Bibi Soleil Another fusion candidate, Bibi is running for Assembly on the Libertarian line in District 50.

State Assembly: Bruce Martin Bruce lives and works in the third district, Suffolk County, which he hopes to represent next year in Albany.

Suffolk County Clerk: Adele Bolger Come out on November 3rd and show your support for Adele!

Town Council: John Bloom John's running in the town of Brookhaven, NY.
